Music Doc
Some music documentary work scattered across various projects. Immediately below are exermpts from my Sounds of Central project…a collection of long lost music from the shuttered Central High School, now digitized.
Central High alum Sonny Charles (born Charles Hemphill) was lead vocalist for the Phil Spector-produced band The Checkmates. “Never Should Have Lied” was the B-side cut on the 1969 Love Is All I Have To Give record.
For my Fort Wayne Hip-Hop: From the Root to the Fruit project, I’m producing oral histories, written articles, photo essays, and documentaries about our city’s music history. Immediately below is an exermpt from Vicki Wade’s story.
